I will come to you in the silence

Today I saw a stretch of a shade of blue not commonly seen, though it looked familiar to me. Huis saw it too (it was the night sky), and commented that it looked like a watercolour painting. Indeed, who is the greatest painter, and the greatest Love of my life.
Right now it is quiet and I am feeling at peace, and it is a great feeling. Talking to Car is fun and now I realised I miss her atrocious comments, her way of talking, I miss imitating her and how she says things that should not be heard by the general public causing Van to shush her. So I just asked her how she was, and her reply, 'I'm surviving in this world.. I think' brought a huge grin to my face. I remember how easy it was to tell her 'hypothetical' situations and get her to comment and advise. She would present all points of view and was a great listener.

Of love and donuts
Friday, April 11, 2008
The best donuts, in my humble opinion, are not from The Donut Factory or Munchy's. They are from POP DOH! (!!!) Located at Taka Foodcourt next to Venezia. Some of my favourites: Chocolate whirl (Great doh), Strawberry kiss (So pretty and clever), Cinnamon Apple (Lovely texture of cinnamon dusting).
Read a novel 'Love Life' by Ray Kluun. It's a bestseller by word of mouth. The book seems to be an account of the author's past. Dan's wife Carmen has a type of inflammatory breast cancer which spreads to her liver. She lost a breast and when it got to her liver, the liver stopped functioning and 'sweated' so her stomach swelled and she had to get the fluid drained once a week (7.5 litres each time)!
The focus of the novel is how Dan practises 'alienation' (being less affectionate to his wife to protect himself from the future hurt when she dies), by being extremely unfilial to his wife. However, throughout the novel his grief is sharp and heartwrenching and it is one of the most moving love stories I have ever read. The most honest one, definitely. It is my first time reading about the actual process of euthanasia.
Huis came over early this morning. She overcame her fear of Winter and even carried her! So an extremely proud-of-herself Huis and I brought my baby for a walk.
Started on a movie today! Nice!
