Watching The Little Mermaid now. And The Parent trap two days ago. (: Caught Driving Lessons and Penelope too!
Recently, Mother and Baby came to the clinic again to borrow our weighing machine. 4.45 kg. An increase of 0.15kg! Mother was overjoyed.
Soups
Monday, June 23, 2008
For dinner tonight I had cream of asparagus soup and grilled herb and garlic cheese on toast. This is the furthest I get to cooking hehe, though I dream of making creamy carrot soup with hot buttered rolls.
First day of freedom today and I got out of bed at 3 pm
A mother's love
Thursday, June 19, 2008
A few days ago, a mother brought her baby to the clinic to borrow our weighing scale. Laying a blanket on top of the scale, she gently lowered her beautiful perfect baby, smiled at him and soothed him so that he would remain still. 4.3kg. Just 0.2kg less than what should have been according to the paediatrician. (Baby was supposed to gain 0.2kg per week.) Baby kept moving and Mother kept trying to get him to be still. Still, the little needle would settle at 4.3, the best reading that Mother and myself got. There was a worried expression on her face, and I could sense her fears and anxiety. It was a privilege to witness such love.
Tonight I realised that my own mother loves me with the same tender love, and worries for me with the same motherly fear.
Thanks be to God!

Pampers
Friday, June 06, 2008
I have a headache.
'Cut Winter's pampers!!!!!!!'
'Ask you so many times alr, why you haven't cut Winter's pampers! No more to use!'
A special phonecall: 'Ahma ask me to remind you to cut Winter's pampers.'
'I will punish you if you don't finish cutting Winter's pampers by tonight. Tomorrow don't cook for you!'
Dear Grandma, I can hear you, and I will. Gosh.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is really good. Some parts of the movie are scary and there are some action bits. So watching in a freezing cinema was appropriate, it added to the whole experience. I really like Lucy and Aslan and Peter. 'Why should that stop you from coming to me?' 'I'm sorry, I guess I was afraid to come alone.' There are indeed parallels to Christianity.
Huis and I were looking at Aussino bedlinen sale today. I was so tempted to buy the pillow and she was so tempted to buy the flamingo bedsheets.
Off I go to cut holes in pampers.......

Say (yummy) cheese
Monday, June 02, 2008
What a great end to my day. Sitting here eating a ***** (5 star) blueberry cheese tart, savouring the delicious smooth cold cheese (mm mmmm)...... go try it, it's frm Hougang Mall's Q Bread, kept refrigerated. Very highly recommended! Mom just gave me a pack of potato chips and is telling me that the bunch of bananas are at their peak now and to hurry eat them. Also she bought me a new com I feel loved! The industrial park (where I spend my Mondays and Tuesdays in the clinic) has great fried fish soup noodles and awesome homemade banana cake.
Okay enough about food. Oh forgot about the yummy Tangy Tomato bread that I had today. I like bread that's soft, but bread that requires some effort to chew is good too, especially if every mouthful is flavourful. With the fragrant aroma, tantalizing taste and good texture, you can begin to appreciate how bread is the staple for some countries.....
Last month of work. Its tiring. When I come home I yell at my dog for not coming into the house. I fail to cuddle her in my rush to bathe. By the time I am fresh and clean, Doggy has gone to bed. And all I can do is to look at the photos my sis took of her sleeping in the new day bed I bought her yesterday and think how sweet and lovely and cute and loveable she is. Sigh
Tin called me at all the right times today, just in time to give me directions to the places I wanted to go.
